           Windows recently showed of it's new features at their Windows 10 event , on the 21st January 2015.Microsoft showed off more consumer features at this event.Windows 10 is really evolved from it's first build and has got better by day.Windows 10 promises to have a simplified and a unified experience for the Microsoft ecosystem.With it's rival Apple getting closer to the unified experience , Microsoft is not far away. With making Windows 10 as a free upgrade , Microsoft is really closing in the competition.But there's a catch it's available as a free upgrade for only one year.

 
           Continuum a new experience which was shared in it's previous event , was shown again in the event. Now continuum is a far better experience with much smaller computers.For hybrid the continuum makes a great tool for switching between tablet mode and computer. Whereas now you can take you tablet and dock with a keyboard and a PC is born.
 
            Cortana the windows phone personal digital assistant now comes for your PC . Cortana learns your personal interest and displays what is important to you.The whole searching experience has changed in Windows 10. You can speak to Cortana or type in the search bar and it searches for you.You can send in an email with cortana and as developers use this feature the more cortana can control things for you.Cortana can not only search the net but also your computer for results.
    
             With Microsoft's Internet Explorer failing after every version , Microsoft has decided to start afresh . With it's new browser code-named "Spartan" , Microsoft  is trying to  nullify that bad dent in in it's ecosystem .The browser is far modern and has better speed compatibility  and is also the first browser to have annotations built in.You can use the pen or the keyboard for making comment and sharing it. Spartan has a reading mode which removes unnecessary clutter and focuses on the articles mostly. You can save an article for offline reading and synches with all your Window devices.Cortana is now in your Spartan browser also to help you and make it easier for using the experience of browsing.

            Windows 10 as is a unified experience Microsoft has developed some universal apps to show that continuity in the system. With it's universal apps like gallery the experience can be same just tailored in some devices. Office now has the same experience so for the touch screens smaller than 8" the experience is same just tailored to provide a much cleaner experience comparatively.Xbox is also been integrated in Windows 10 and now you can buy a game and play it across all your Windows devices.

DELL VENUE 8 7000 : CES 2015

          Dell at it's CES booth showed off  the new Dell Venue 8 7000 tablet , which showed us it's glimpse at the Intel's Developer Forum back in September.Dell Venue 8 7000 has won many awards as the best of CES in it's category. It is a direct competition to the iPad mini 3 .Intel's new tablet is the world's thinnest tablet and also has the first  with Intel's Real Sense 3D camera.

           The Venue 8 sports a 8.4 inch OLED edge-to-edge display , calling it also infinte display with QHD 2,560 x 1,600 pixel resolution.The Venue 8 is actually narrower than the iPad mini 3.It comes with an 8MP shooter and 720p stereoscopic sensors form the RealSense Snapshot Depth Camera from Intel. The RealSense camera allows you to captures images with much more depth, Dell Gallery gives you more control over images in post-processing and allows you to refocus images.
                                                

            With RealSense technology altering the background color of a shot becomes possible .You can create a negative field (sort of) , means you can change the background of a portrait to black and white while leaving the face in full color. You can even decipher dimensions of objects or distances between areas within the shot.

                                                                

       
               Dell Venue 8 7000 comes with a 2.3GHz Intel Atom quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM ,16GB of storage, and a MicroSD slot that can expand storage by 512GB.It comes out of the box with Android KitKat 4.4 and is upgradable to Android Lollipop. Dell also plans to launch an LTE version of the device soon.

                Dell Venue 8  7000 is priced at $399, the Dell Venue 8 7000 is currently available in the US. DEll also plans to release in many countries in early 2015.

        First reaction , How's this possible ?   Intel makes it easier to build wearable gadgets that can be a natural extension of your body.

         Intel CEO Brian Krzanich during a keynote at the International CES 2015 showed off a computer that is so small that even during the presentation we struggled to see it at the beginning. Intel wants to win the battle for the wearable technologies with it's button sized computer and also naming it Curie.

         Intel's this move makes wearable computing with a much wider sense and more ideas to have a wearable technology everywhere. Intel’s Curie will include a Bluetooth low-energy radio,a bunch of  motion sensors, and components designed to rapidly and precisely differentiate between different types of physical activity. Krzanich said it will run “for extended periods of time” on a coin-size battery or even a rechargeable battery , though not revealing the exact durations.

       Intel's Curie is so small that even it's previous postage stamp processor Edison feels bigger than it.Intel's is evidently seeing wearable as an important market in the future.While lot of other companies are really seeing wearable technology as the future , Intel could not be left behind.While Intel wants to make it's mark in wearable market , where ARM is leading but the Curie can be a good competitor.

       To show that the Curie is not just a non functional prototype , Intel showed of  simple built  step-tracking smartphone app to go with the module. CEO Krzanich had on him; at one point he pulled the phone out of his pocket, and its display indicated he’d taken 1,788 steps during the keynote.

    Intel has partnered with a number of companies such as Ray-Ban and Oakley. These brands are trying to make a truly consumer friendly glasses. Taking the disadvantages of Google Glasses and making it a positive edge for these future friendly glasses.

              Asus at it's CES 2015 event announced the continuation of the Zen series. The ZenFone 2 is the latest addition by Asus . It is not only a successor to the Zenfone series but Asus also improved it.
It's been a year to the Zenfone line-up announcement  and having sold 8 million units so far , Asus wanted to continue this momentum.The new Zenfone 2 is far more better looking machine than it's predecessor , this can be stated due to the 72% body-to-screen ratio.The all metal finish looks "sexy" and has a detailed circling .With just 3.9mm thin and weighing around 170 g the phone is quite competing in looks.The phone features a 5.5 inch display with a resolution of 1920 X 1080 (FULL HD) and a 403 ppi. The display has 3.3 mm bezel , which brings the screen quite closer to the body.The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

         Asus has not only concentrated on the looks but it has a lot more power under it. The new Zenfone 2 has a  64 -bit  1.8GHz Intel processor (Z3560), 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, but it can be maxed out to 2.3GHz (Z3580) with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of local storage. It has a Micro-SD  support of 64 bit , and Asus claims it delivers a performance of 7X from it's predecessor. It has a touch responsive of 60ms which gives it flowing touch experience.
 
         Camera performance can be a hit or a flop in low flagship Android phones.But Asus new Zenfone has 13 MP PixelMaster Rear camera with f/2.0-aperture, autofocus lens with dual-color Real Tone flash. There is a 5-megapixel front camera also onboard the ZenFone 2 with 85-degree wide-angle lens. Asus's Zen UI packs few camera improvement tools such as low light mode, backlight (HDR) mode, enhanced beautification mode, manual mode, and zero shutter lag.
 
             Asus Zenfone 2 is juiced by a 3000mAh battery and the company claims with fast-charging technology, the ZenFone 2 can recharge up to 60 percent in just 39 minutes.Asus announced it's new Zen UI ,  the new UI  has added some handy new features, including a single-hand mode that shrinks the entire screen, work/personal environment switching, Trend Micro Security integration in the browser, ZenMotion touch gestures and more.The new UI will be running Android 5.0 out of the box.
 

             The Asus ZenFone 2 supports dual Micro-SIMs (GSM+GSM) and comes with 4G LTE (Cat. 4) connectivity support apart from 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, GPS/ A-GPS, Bluetooth, Glonass, Wi-Fi, USB OTG, and NFC(Which is quite a surprise). The  new Asus ZenFone 2 will be available in March 2015 in several colour variants Ceramic White, Glacier Gray, Glamour Red, Osmium Black, and Sheer Gold. It will be available at a starting price of $199 .

          It's CES fever all around , companies showing o their new and upcoming gadgets for he consumers.LG at it's event released it's successor to the unique product , the LG G Flex .And now comes LG G Flex 2 , the Korean giant is accepting feedback for its LG G Flex all round and opun that built the second version. LG is really pushing it's curved concept , despite having a mixed reviews . LG G Flex 2 has been  really improved  from it's predecessor from all sides.

          LG has finally released that bigger isn't better , and has downgraded the screen size to 5.5 inch from the original G Flex 6 inch screen. Lg significantly has reduced the size but up the resolution by 1080p.The screen is more advanced with the new plastic OLED technology and LG’s also added a slide-down motion on the lock screen that will show you the latest notifications without activating the full screen. The LG Flex 2 is also been called a "four curved phone " , Lg designers have made a better design this time. LG G flex 2 is more comfortable in hand and feels more premium. Another improvement from the original G Flex is the second generation of LG’s self-healing plastic case. It now recovers from scratches and bruises in less than 10 seconds. The rear cover is super shiny and reflective in both the Flamenco Red and Platinum Silver options, but it’s an unusually nice sort of glossy surface.

 

          Curved design is one thing, but what's probably most impressive is what's inside. The G Flex 2 is one of the first devices we've seen to come with one of Qualcomm's octal-core Snapdragon 810 chip-sets. The 2.0GHz  Snapdragon Processor cores are partnered up with 2GB of  DDR4 RAM .The LG Flex 2 is meant to be a speedster . You'll be able to choose from either 16 or 32GB of internal storage. Now companies are trying to get the fast charging a USP , the LG Flex 2 also has an included high-speed charger will get you from 0 to 50 percent in about 40 minutes.LG Flex 2 comes with a 3000 mAh battery to run all those hardware.

          The G Flex was a disappointment in the camera department. The G Flex camera simply "sucked". While not experimenting too much with the camera , LG just provided a 13 MP rear camera.  But the camera comes with Laser Auto focus technology and even Optical image stabilization. That's not it the camera also comes with many software features resulting in better image quality.     

             LG has made the G Flex 2 more shock-resistant and durable than the original. Though it feels stiffer in the hand, the Flex 2 is actually more elastic internally and distributes the shock from drops or pressure more evenly across its body. Lg has made the edges more stronger in order to make it rigid and basically shatter proof screen. LG calls this Dura-Guard Glass and points out that it’s a particular improvement at the edges of the screen, which is where Gorilla Glass’ durability is apparently not as great as at the center.


    
             LG’s using the Android 5 Lollipop in Flex 2 . The interface retains LG’s cosmetic modifications from the original UI first introduced on the G3, but that already cleaned up and simplified a lot of things in LG’s skin. That's why we prefer it so it's more closer to stock.

 
             Overall we the phone looks great in it's first impressions. The curved design is always a big question mark for the consumers. In all with the curved design but packed with similar specs to G3 the Flex 2 has really improved than it's predecessor Mainly the selling point would be that the phone now feels more comfortable and completes most aspects of a high-end smartphone with the uniqueness of Flex design.

       Nvidia this year at the CES 2015 is shacking the hardware technology with its new chip. On Sunday Nvidia revealed the Nvidia Tegra X1 , which CEO Jen-Hsun Huang described it as a tiny workhouse for smart-phones as well as cars.Nvidia is trying to push it's way into automotive market with chips for driver's assistant and entertainment  systems  as it is getting complicated systems day by day.

         Nvidia unveiled that the automakers can use Nvidia's Drive PX platform that could make self-driving cars a step closer .Nvidia also unveiled the Drive CX platform which can provide a sounded up and infotainment displays in the cars. Drive CX  will make the touchscreen displays more refined as well as can provide 3D maps for better navigation.
 
         
       Nvidia Tegra X1 features Nvidia’s latest GPU architecture, significantly reducing the release delay between mobile and dedicated GPUs.The Tegra X1 processor utilizes Nvidia's Maxwell PC architecture for graphics processing units that produces a whole teraflop of computational power, or 1 trillion floating-point calculations per second. That's equivalent to the human brain performing one calculation a second for more than 31,000 years. Tegra X1 is Nvidia's second high-end graphics chip for mobile markets after Tegra K1.



          The Tegra X1 is a giant leap of innovation in the processing world , Tegra X1 based on the Maxwell has a 256 core - GPU with Open GL 4.4 and DX 12 . Tegra X1 has 8 core CPU and all are 64 bit ARM processors. That's actually more than Intel core- i7  . The tegra X1 can play 4K videos at 60 frames per second, H.264. Combing all this the Tegra comes in just 20 nm SoC . 

         In the words of Nvidia's CEO "this is the first mobile super-chip".Nvidia has stated that the Tegra X1 will come out very soon.Seeing this the Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 810 and even Apple's A8X don't even stand a chance against it.

2014 : A YEAR REVIEW

               It has been a great year for the technology lovers and also to the future of electronics.We have seen the new growth of some new categories as  well as advancement in the old. We will look back in time to see how the world shifted in the technology sector.

                We will see some defining moments in the technology :

1.  Moto 360 :
         
            The first time Motorola released it's teaser for the 360 the fans all around the world went mad about the circle display on the watch. It looks beautiful and the changed the direction of styles of smart-watches from square to round.After the release it took off quite well and made look smart - watches more familiar and blending well in life . There are rumors that the 360 will have a successor soon. The MOTO  360

2. Windows Phone 8.1
           
           Though it might not so be considered to the people of this software but Lumia users had the most changing update , with the Denim update coming soon to all devices . With tons of new features and personal voice assistant the Lumia had come very close to the competition . Lumia with this update really captured some of the market share. Windows Phone 8.1


3. Mac OS and iOS 8 :
     
            Apple again making it's mark in the history with just small tweaks and no major Graphical changes to the software part , Apple released the Mac OS X Yosemite for Mac line and the iOS 8 for the mobile devices.The main feature being continuity really enhanced the continuity in the Apple products making them more connected.While Mac OS X made connectivity more popular , the iOS 8 came with widget support as well as more third party supports . 4.  Android Lollipop
      
          While Apple was not changing its graphical interface , Android took it all material design. Material Design the new GUI of Android really uplifted Google card type interface , the Lollipop got mixed reviews among the users. 5. Nvidia Shield
         
           Nvidia made its mark in the tabloid world with it's Shield , the most gaming tablet seen. 6. Note 4 & Note 4 Edge

           Samsung has always surprised us with their Note line , Note 3 was a huge success and the Note 4 adding more to it. Note 4 came with a fresh design of metal solid body and a more sensitive stylus . Samsung's Note features made  the Note more user functionality as well as increased multitasking abilities.Samsung curved screen made it's debut in Note 4 Edge , making both the screen usable and functionality at same time. 7. MOTOROLA
     
           Motorola made a quite phenomenal comeback in 2014 with all the products making successful in all the range of phone.While Motorola released the Moto E for low budget and the Moto G for the mid to low range category and becoming success just after release. 8. iPhone 6 & iPhone 6 Plus

            Long wait for a bigger screen iPhone for the Apple fans had finally come with the iPhone 6 & the iPhone 6 + . Apple iPhone 6 & 6 + are considered as the best iPhone's till date.iPhone 6 excelled in all departments of the previous iPhone.Making it more thinner and larger iPhone 6 made the phone industry moving to form new designs. 9. Apple Watch
     
            Well after the wearable technology on the rise , Apple had to jump in .Apple debuted it's Watch surprising not naming it iWatch but simply Apple Watch. Apple Watch was a delight to watch even in the Demo period with custom smooth software as well as hardware.With new input via the dial of the smart watch it really made benchmarks higher for everyone.The integration was so good that everyone wanted to play with it. 10. Windows 10
   
          Well it had been a long time since the release of  a new Windows OS. Microsoft in their event  showed off  the Windows 10 . While the Windows 10 was in beta mode but was available through developer preview. The Windows 10 really brought back key USP features and as well released some new features making it more productive. While it is not clear when exactly Windows 10 will be released but it might have consumer preview coming soon. First look : Windows 10


11. iPad Air 2
   
         Apple iPad is most successful tablet and with a stable growth in the market. iPad Air last time got the sales up of the iPad and quite literally boosted it. iPad Air 2 is much more lighter than the original Air and feels like feather. iPad Air 2 bought the Touch ID to the iPad line  and is the world's thinnest tablet.With the Air 2 Apple doubled every feature of the Air from Camera to even basic things like a faster Wi-Fi.  Detailed : APPLE AIR 2
            


12. Nokia N1
       
        After acquired by Microsoft this was a shocker by Nokia. The N1 tablet was clearly aiming at what Nokia is heading, the N1 is to be expected to be a great comeback for Nokia into the tablet market.The N1 is still not available and exact dates are not revealed.Nokia N1 looks like an Apple mini but packed with Android inside. 13. Nexus 6
       
        The most anticipated gadget of the year 2014 , the Nexus 6 stole all thunder away .The Nexus 6 is a killer smart phone as expected and made quite for the android lovers. Nexus 6 made up on  the backbone of  Motorola's Moto X+1 is best you can get . The massive 6 inch display with very less bezel made the Nexus 6 quite a premium product. 14. Nexus 9
      
           The Nexus 9 was unexpected product  not because of timing or any other but the screen size was taken in the middle of both the previous Nexus tablets. Overall the Nexus 9 is a great product for the tabloid  world making it's competition directly with the Apple iPad. Review : NEXUS
