DELL VENUE 8 7000 : CES 2015
Dell at it's CES booth showed off the new Dell Venue 8 7000 tablet , which showed us it's glimpse at the Intel's Developer Forum back in September.Dell Venue 8 7000 has won many awards as the best of CES in it's category. It is a direct competition to the iPad mini 3 .Intel's new tablet is the world's thinnest tablet and also has the first with Intel's Real Sense 3D camera.
The Venue 8 sports a 8.4 inch OLED edge-to-edge display , calling it also infinte display with QHD 2,560 x 1,600 pixel resolution.The Venue 8 is actually narrower than the iPad mini 3.It comes with an 8MP shooter and 720p stereoscopic sensors form the RealSense Snapshot Depth Camera from Intel. The RealSense camera allows you to captures images with much more depth, Dell Gallery gives you more control over images in post-processing and allows you to refocus images.
With RealSense technology altering the background color of a shot becomes possible .You can create a negative field (sort of) , means you can change the background of a portrait to black and white while leaving the face in full color. You can even decipher dimensions of objects or distances between areas within the shot.
Dell Venue 8 7000 comes with a 2.3GHz Intel Atom quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM ,16GB of storage, and a MicroSD slot that can expand storage by 512GB.It comes out of the box with Android KitKat 4.4 and is upgradable to Android Lollipop. Dell also plans to launch an LTE version of the device soon.
Dell Venue 8 7000 is priced at $399, the Dell Venue 8 7000 is currently available in the US. DEll also plans to release in many countries in early 2015.
