NOKIA N1
With much of a surprise , Nokia showed off it's new hardware. After the change in the name of Lumia series after the Microsoft takeover , we thought of Microsoft would really replace all the brand's name with it's. Proving it not true , Nokia teased in the twitter account with an image of a black box ,confusing everyone until today. The Nokia N1 is the brand new take on the tablet by this giant. The N1 resembles their whole new beginning into the tablet business.
The Nokia N1 is an attempt to emulate the Apple's iPad Mini , Nokia has the same 7.9 inch screen size and even the same 2048 X 1536 resolution.Nokia has also taken the single piece anodized aluminium design. And the resemblance's does not stop there , Nokia has got the back same but carefully tweaking some adjustments to it. The grill at the bottom is a look alike and when you just see the N1 , it see's like a duplicate of an iPad.But hold on !!!
Nokia N1 has to offer some changes to it. Like the charging port , which resembles like the same as Apple's but it is a ( USB 2.0 ) Type-C USB reversible port. This is where things change . While the tablet may look like Apple mini but the N1 is just 6.9 mm thick and weighs around 318 grams making both thinner and lighter than the Apple's Mini . But not on the inside , the N1 packs an Intel Atom Z3580 processor clocked at 2.3 Ghz and supporting it is a 2 GB RAM with 32 GB of in-built storage.Nokia N1 has an 8 MP camera at it's rear and for your selfie it has an 5 MP version. It gets its juice from a 5300 mAh battery , will get it going.
And to another surprise it's not powered by Windows but actually Android. It is backed by an Android 5.0 "lollipop" but Nokia's has added it's own touch to it with the Z launcher. The Z launcher was an initially a beta project but now is released on the Google play with devices running Android 4.1 + . The Z launcher is quite simple it lets you write out letters right on the screen, is to give you a list of apps and contacts that changes based on where you are and what you're doing. You can also scribble out a letter in the middle of your home-screen to search what's installed on your phone, or things on the internet through Google suggestions.
Nokia really has really shocked by all it's new N1 but also the release of the Z launcher. The Nokia is really taking on the iPad with it's N1. Nokia's planning to launch the N1 in China for $249
(before taxes) around the time of Chinese New Year (February 19th), and
it will roll out to Russia and select European countries after the
Chinese release. That's an impressive and aggressive price point against
Apple's $399 for the latest iPad mini 3. Well only release will tell if it's all worth it.
NOKIA N1 LOOKS PROMISING BUT WILL YOU BUY IT ?
