MICROSOFT BAND : LOOK OVER

MICROSOFT BAND

Well Microsoft has come up with their wearable technology , the world is moving to the wearable's. The wearable technology war is starting to develop slowly but gradually every company is trying to get serious in this segment.Microsoft has come up with a band just like the Samsung Galaxy fit. There is not much difference in the smart-watch and smart-band both doing the same just one a little lighter to wear.
                Microsoft Band rotator
Microsoft Band is the first and the foremost in the whole Microsoft Health program. The Band is extremely fitness oriented but packs a lot more features. The band is a bracelet like a stiff rubber on your wrist. It has an action button on the side of the band and a power button right in the middle. The band is not the best looking design in the whole wearable world as well as does not feel right also. The band feels more comfortable if the screen is worn inside , but again it is a forced wrap around on your waist.

Cross-platform compatibility is the best and the most important on the part of Microsoft, as are some of the features built into the Health app.  It can sync with the third-party apps RunKeeper and MyFitnessPal ,But it also has built-in workouts from various sources, like Gold’s Gym, Shape, Men’s Fitness and even Microsoft itself, and they can be downloaded onto the band.

It tracks steps, estimates calorie use during activities at the gym, and has a built-in GPS so it can track your running or cycling route without your having to have your phone with you. It tracks your movements during sleep, and there is even a Starbucks app: You can load up a Starbucks card and make payments with the band. However the 24 hour heart rate monitor is  disappointing and has not been accurate as  it should be.The main glitch is that their is a major difference in the heart rate as compared to professional monitors.

When paired with a windows phone the Band gets a lit more functionality and interactive. The main being the Cortana support for  all those voice commands to respond to the text messages and emails as well with your voice. The watch interface is borrowed from the  Windows line. You can customize the band by choosing the screen color and background design. And you can customize multiple tiles on the band’s touch screen. It can display up to 12 screens, including texts, emails and calls, calendar invitations, running data, exercise, sleep, guided workouts, weather, and Facebook or Twitter notifications.

However combining all this the Microsoft band is also the primitive piece of technology in the wearable world like all other devices.Microsoft Band is filled with features for the functionality of the band , saying that the tile interface feels good at the hand and quite easy to use.The main drawback of the band would be the design of the product , there are no curves no comfort ability in the Band . Band does not feel like an extension but a forced health product on your hand and making you feel uncomfortable every time you wear it. The main competition Gear S does all that the Band but feels much more premium as well as more "Band " like  technology. For $199 the device is to early to be chosen but serves the purposes of the fitness world with pairing with whichever OS you like is a big advantage of this product.
