GALAXY NOTE 5 : REVIEW

GALAXY NOTE 5 : REVIEW

Samsung's Note line of phones has always been about three things: a huge screen, outsized performance, and a stylus. But now, with the Galaxy Note 5, two of those three things aren't so special anymore. Every Android phone is big now, and almost all of those big phones are fast and powerful. But somehow the Note series have a special way of using and different feel about the usage of a bigger screen. And when iPhone 5S released , the competition got a lot more competitive in phablet section , as Apple saw the group of people that really like a large screen in their hand.

Hardware :

This is the most attractive, most comfortable-feeling Galaxy Note that Samsung has ever made. The Gorilla Glass-and-metal design language carried over from the rest of the Galaxy S6 line means the Galaxy Note finally has the premium feel it always deserved. The generous curve of the backplate and the trimmed-down bezels surrounding the 5.7-inch, Quad HD, Super AMOLED screen make the Note 5 much easier to hold than any of the previous-gen Notes, a serious feat when you consider how beastly that screen actually is.

I find the glass too slippery to hold and whenever I hold it I am scared to death that i'll drop it. And with the glass back panel , the back panel is a fingerprint magnet which makes me have a skin or cover at it .And of course, there's the S Pen. I'll revisit this in a moment, but suffice to say, it's leaner and lighter this year, and now has a clicky end you'll use to unlock it from the garage located on the Note's bottom edge.

Performance :

Under the hood, we once again have one of Samsung's own octa-core Exynos 7420 chipsets, with four cores clocked at 2.1GHz and another four thrumming away at 1.5GHz. Pair that with 4GB of RAM and you've got the makings of a serious powerhouse.he storage limitation in particular stings since Samsung doesn't offer a version with 128GB; 32GB and 64GB are the only options. Note 5 has a battery size of 3,000mAh, which is actually smaller than its predecessor.
Samsung GALAXY Note 5 Fast Charging

The Note 5 is a power house in itself with the big screen and a full PC like specifications , the Note 5 is definitely a  full fledged PC with it's capabilities. The Note 5 does feel like a  flagship phone with it's performance  like the Stylus, Dual screen and connectivity apps. The phone doesn't lag or lack in multitasking , with the latest update to TouchWiz this is the far best skin till now by Samsung , it's clean and simple and improves performances which works just like Stock Android , with additional capabilities.

Display & Sound :

If there's one thing Samsung really gets, it's how to make a seriously good-looking screen. The Note 5's QHD, Super AMOLED display isn't a huge leap over the Note 4's screen (which was the same size and ran at the same resolution), but there's enough of a boost in saturation and overall brightness to make the sequel a clear winner.Colors are vivid and vibrant in that typically AMOLED- way, so while these oversaturated colors aren't always accurate, per se, they're still a treat to look at. More importantly, the screen is an absolute champ under the sweltering summer sun.
Samsung GALAXY Note 5 S Pen
Too bad, then, that the screen is paired with a wimpy single speaker on the phone's bottom  edge. Crank it all the way up and your tunes will play forcefully enough, but with a  hollow, unsatisfying sound; there's a distinct lack of oomph here that's unfortunately pretty common in high-end phones. However there's a big problem that if you by mistakenly keep a hand at the speaker (which often happens alot)  and you loose sound and the whole experience is still a miss.

Camera :

The camera in the original S6 was one of the greats, and it's just as capable now that it's been transplanted into the Note 5. Samsung's 16-megapixel sensor, an f/1.9 lens covering it and some sophisticated optical image stabilization work together to produce some of the prettiest photos I've ever seen come out of a smartphone. That's no faint praise, especially considering the Note 4 also raised the bar for Samsung when it first came out. Each shot is inundated with detail, while colors are bright, yet accurate.

Speaking of software, Samsung fleshed out the camera app with a few new tricks if you're getting tired of shooting panoramas or slow-motion videos. Video Collage lets you craft a, well, video collage, where four six-second clips you shoot appear in a grid and play on a loop and you can now livestream straight to YouTube too.Since the age of carrying around a separate camera is all but over, you can travel easy knowing you'll be able to near-instantly start snapping handsome photos. Just a double-tap on the home button and you're on your way.

S Pen :

Right, now we're getting down to business. Most of the Note 5's software changes try to make the S Pen more functional. First things first: that clicky end. I've always hated how the S Pen is stuck in the Note's bottom; removing it feels so unlike a normal pad and paper, and it's made more complex by the clicking mechanism. Sure, it's fun to play with, but it's an extra step that was added purely for style points.

After you pull the pen out depends on what the display's doing. If it's on, the screen blurs and the Air Command menu floats into view. From there, you can jot down Action Memos (think of them as quick Post-it notes) or write/draw right inside S Note. You also have the option of capturing screenshots or selections with the Pen to annotate, including full-length pics of webpages or lists. If the screen is off and the Instant Memo feature is enabled, you can whip out the pen and just start writing. Whatever you jot down automatically gets sucked into S Note when you're done, making it so much faster to just start writing.

Final Decision :

Samsung has another world-class performer in the Note 5, and unlike its cousin, the S6 Edge+, it has more going for it than just looks. The Note still can't completely mimic the feel of pen and paper, but it's getting closer than you might expect. Throw in some high-powered internals and a tremendous screen and you've got a Note that refines the phablet formula in almost all the right ways.

Note 5 will come off-contract, the 32 GB Galaxy Note 5 is $720, while the 64 GB version is $816.This is by far the best phone by Samsung till now hands down and will have a great competition to it's competitors .If the glitches like no external storage as well as non removable battery , the Note 5 would be your choice till last.

iPad Pro & iPhone 6 S

iPad Pro & iPhone 6 S

After the special keynote by Apple today , on it's latest product's I feel dead tired , this time Apple showed us the next iteration's of the products. Apple Special keynote covered from iPad to Apple TV to the next iPhone. So lest's begin with latest iPad Pro.

iPad Pro

iPad-Pro_Specs
It's like iPad on steroids, with the bigger screen , more power it's just looks like an iPad. The next iPad with a bigger screen was in rumor for quite a while. And now it's true , the iPad Pro comes with a 12.9  inch Retina display with a resolution of 2732 X 2048 and a 264 pixel density.

The new iPad Pro comes the latest A9X chip which is a 64 bit desktop class architecture. It delivers 1.8 times the power of the Apple iPad Air 2. So as it comes to the graphics performance , with the latest metal and graphic's chip the iPad Pro makes it more powerful than the previous iPad.The latest apps by Adobe and Microsoft desktop  class apps have the same experience that of a desktop.

The iPad Pro is a 6.9 mm thin device which weighs around 1.57 pounds, with dimensions of 305.7 X 220.6 mm. The iPad Pro comes with four speaker audio that produce a stereo soundstage. According to the device orientation the device change the output of the speaker.iPad Pro has Touch ID which is now two times faster and can open lot quicker.

Coming on to the Apple pencil , an accessory to the iPad Pro which let's your creative side come out.The Pencil is combination of software and hardware for the optima output. With the Apple Pencil you can  enhance the multi-touch feature of the iPad , it recognizes the pressure of the pencil on the screen and also the angle at which it's held. So you can design all the creative output just like a conventional way.

iPhone 6 S & iPhone 6 S plus

The next iteration of the iPhone 6 is here , the iPhone 6 S , the next improvement over the iPhone 6 . The iPhone 6 S & 6 S plus are both the same with a tad of improvements on each one.
The iPhone 6 S and 6 S plus has a major improvement of more touch controls, that is like the force touch introduced into Macbook , is reintroduced in the iPhone 6 S. Calling it the 3D touch , this technology makes you have more control of your touch. Basically the harder you touch the more insight it gives you.So if you want a glance of the photo in the photo's app , but it's too small to look so you open it up, no need just have a deeper touch and it will pop up the photo for you, and if you want more detail keep on touching.
IMG_2536

The iPhone 6 S and the 6 S plus have a better 12 MP iSight camera an increment over the previous 8 MP camera. I am always a fan of  iPhone camera's and hope the increment would give a more enhanced feel. The latest iSight camera can take upto 4K video , with the OIS stability with it.The facetime camera is now 5 MP which has better selfies and the screen  now acts as a flashlight when clicking a selfie. The new live pictures by Apple remind me off the Samsung's similar feature introduced during the S4 launch. The live pictures are still images but a glimpse of  the  moments before and after the shot taken. But when you scroll through the images the , it gives a slight glimpse of the moment captured after scrolling the images.

The iPhone 6 S & 6S plus comes with the A9  64 bit desktop class architecture which is 70% faster than previous. So you have a faster frame rate of the apps and games being used and with iOS 9 it enhances it's capability more.

So will the iPad Pro have an impact on the the Mac lineup ? Or will it be just an slight addition to the iPad lineup ? On the other hand , the iPhone 6 S and the iPhone 6 S plus are not major breakthrough but better improvement to the predecessor.

ONEPLUS TWO : REVIEW

ONEPLUS TWO : REVIEW

The successor to the OnePlus One, one of the most ambitious and successful debut smartphones we’ve ever seen, is a hot commodity. The phone is packed with changes from last year’s model, from the improved screen to the totally overhauled camera system. Its marketing language is as unabashed as ever: “Never settle,” the ads beg you. The company calls the 2 the “flagship killer.” However not going into the "flagship killer " sort of mode and all the hype it has created due to this buzz around people . But getting into the actual basics , the OnePlus 2 is a nice-looking phone with cutting-edge hardware and software.

OnePlus 2 doesn’t deviate strongly from the formula that made the One such an intriguing phone, but there are some notable differences to be found once you dig into the new device.

Display & Design :

On the surface, the OnePlus 2 is very similar to its predecessor. It’s still the same 5.5-inch device, but the body material is significantly nicer this time — most of the frame is made of aluminum, but the back keeps the textured, grippy material featured on last year’s phone. The side aluminium metal frame really gives it a feel of a high-end phone and also does not disturb it's the overall design and look of the phone. With the various types of back covers like the previous One , this time it's far easier to replace it and comes in a good addition of back covers.

By default the phone comes with stand stone cover and is more roughier   this time. The whole phone has a box like feel and let's you hold the phone easily. The battery is not however removable nor any external storage is available.  On the side there's a alert slider , to help you change the notification's priority has per your choice. On the side you have the regular power and volume rockers. The bottom you got a charging port and speaker's (actually just regular). One the top you have the 3.5 mm headphone jack.

OnePlus 2 has a  5.5-inch, 1080p display is bright, clear, and accurate, and offers that inexplicably delightful feeling that you’re actually moving things around directly on the screen. The viewing angles are great and has a good contrast. The colors look saturated and that's it in a single sentence, the display is as it should be on a phone.

Camera :

The 2’s 13-megapixel camera can, in perfect conditions, take spectacular pictures. Sharp, clean, dynamic. But when you’re not outdoors on a perfectly overcast day shooting a stationary subject, you’re not going to like your photos. The shutter’s too slow, the lens takes too long to focus, and all too often you’re stuck getting a picture a second after something cool happened.
The camera would be rated as a okay - okay deal for now but you never know if it gets a few patches, the camera would be a lot better. The back camera includes a two tone flash as well as a laser auto focusing system and optical image stabilization. The camera launching time is quite quick but the capture time of photo's is slow.

The front is 5MP camera for all the selfies, however this didn't disappoint us. The camera is a good one for the selfies and gives an above average experience. The camera is one thing that can be fixed via few software updates and will really enhance the user experience.

Performance:

OnePlus 2 has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, and either 16GB of storage with 3GB of RAM or 64GB of storage with 4GB of RAM.It run's great on the level of high end specifications and the customized OS.Once you’ve unlocked the phone, you’ll see the very familiar stylings of Android 5.1 — but this time, OnePlus has added its own in-house software (called OxygenOS) over the top, rather than using Cyanogenmod as it did last year. Fortunately, it’s a very clean skin, with minimal extra features — there are some new options included in the settings, like a menu that lets you enable gestures to tap the screen to wake it, or draw a circle on the screen to launch the camera.

The most dramatic difference is a screen off to the left of your home screen called the “shelf,” which holds your most-used apps and contacts for easy access. It’s useful, if unexciting. There’s also a really handy dark mode—I call it “first thing in the morning mode”—along with some nice additional customizability ideas. It’s a really nice, mostly additive take on Android. OnePlus says there’s more to come, too, and Oxygen won’t look like plain Android for long.in all the phone performs quite well and a double dozen of tasks can be opened without any lag.The phone has a good multitasking capabilities as well no heating issues.

Other Tricks :

There are a few other hardware tricks you’ll see on this phone that you won’t find on most other devices, perhaps most importantly the USB-C connector on the bottom. We knew this would be the case, but it’s still nice to see a company moving people over to the new port as soon as possible.
Another new addition is the front-facing fingerprint unlock sensor, and it does indeed work as advertised. With the phone locked, it only took barely a second of laying my finger on the sensor to get the phone open and ready for use. Much like the iPhone, you have to back up the fingerprint sensor with a traditional on-screen lock, but whatever sensor and software OnePlus are using here seem like a very reliable combo.

Unfortunately, just like last year, the OnePlus 2 will be available online through an "invite" system — you’ll only be able to preorder it if you get an invite. The good news is that getting an invite will hopefully be easier this time around, as anyone can sign up to receive one on the OnePlus website (among other places, like OnePlus's social media accounts). While most of these specs are pretty standard fare for a high-end smartphone, the price remains anything but: the 16GB model will retail for $329, while the 64GB version will go for $389. That’s more than last year’s model, but after spending some time with the phone, I feel like the price increase is justified for what you get.
