DIGITAL PAPER

DIGITAL PAPER

Despite years of development , E Ink's haven't yet replaced the traditional paper nor they have found a right place in the market. Sony's trying to change that with their new product which has a 13 inch display called the Digital Paper. The product is intended for legal , business and educational environments. The only downside? It's pricetag, currently set at a whooping $1,100.To answer the question of who could probably afford it or want a expensive device like this that reads PDF's and accepts  handwriting input .Sony is introducing the Digital Paper at the  American Association Tech Show in Chicago.

The Digital Paper is very light at 12.06 oz and has a high resolution of (1200X1600)/ 16-level grayscale display with touch controls, stylus input and no backlight. It helps out in reading in daytime without the need of zooming or scrolling around documents like on other tablets.Sony claims a 3 day battery life with recharging via AC or USB,while documents can be loaded via WIFI into the 4 GB internal memory or an external SD card.
Saying all of this  it's still way out of our price range of note taking, but if somebody comes knocking with a  billion dollar deal ,it  might be good to have around
